“The Consistent 60” Challenge 

You may have heard of the 75 Hard – a mental strength + health challenge designed to reframe and reprogram your way of thinking and teach yourself how to be truly disciplined when it comes to achieving hard things. For 75 days, there are several non-negotiables to accomplish each day, layering discipline and consistency on each other day by day. The kicker is, if you miss any of the criteria to check on any given day, then you must start over from the beginning, back at day 1. 
 
We think the 75 Hard is a great test of mental toughness and true grit. It’s a solid challenge and if it’s something that interests you, we encourage you to investigate it and give it a shot! 
 
However, we believe there are ways to build new habits and continue to stack them on top of each other, without the ‘all or nothing’ mentality. Introducing the ‘Consistent 60’.
 
The Consistent 60 is different than the 75 Hard:

  • 60 days

  • Minimum of 1 check mark per day

  • Habit Stacking – build some positive habits for the first 60 days of the new year that you can carry with you for the rest of your life

  • Accumulate points – each check mark = 1 point

  • Accumulate the most points by the end of the 60 days to win!

    • 1 overall winner for the most points accumulated – win a free month of nutrition coaching to continue your progress!

How do you accumulate points?

Have a goal of drinking more water? Have a goal of eating more protein? Want to start reading more? The Consistent 60 is a great way to accelerate that goal, and even build a few more along the way.

Each day will contain several items to complete – and each item you complete that day gives you a point. Things to accomplish will look like:

  • Drink 1 gallon of water

  • No alcohol

  • Complete 1 workout of at least 30 minutes

  • Complete 2 workouts of at least 30 minutes (a walk counts as the 2nd workout)

  • Eat less than 20g added sugar

  • Eat 2 servings of fruit 

  • Eat 2 servings of veggies

  • Eat at least a palm-size protein serving with each meal

  • Read at least 10 pages of a book (listen to >15mins of an audio book)

  • Practice mindfulness for at least 10 minutes (meditate, breathing exercises, etc)

A perfect score is 600 – 10pts per day for 60 days. A score of 450pts = 75% tasks accomplished over the 60 days. Think you can do it? We know you can!
 

How do you participate?

Sign up at the gym starting 12/9 and no later than 12/31 and grab your participation packet which will contain instructions and a calendar for January & February with check-marks for each day to physically check. Watch your progress and watch those habits stack and become engrained in your daily life!
 

What if you don’t complete all the tasks each day?

Complete what you can each day and start fresh the next day! There’s no need to start over from the beginning with this challenge, just pick right back up the next day and get after it!
 

Why should you do this?

New Year’s resolutions a thing, yet most resolutions are left behind not long after the new year. What a better way to start the year than with some health & accountability from the Herd? What do you have to lose? Stack some new habits the first 2 months and watch your life start to change! :)
